The MMTP Monitors have been working during this pandemic like many others have tried to do. Some monitors are working from home and some are social distancing and practicing other safe procedures while working on the line.
Monitors are going to continue to provide updates on the project. The project is 90% complete, so we're almost there.
Spring is here and some construction activities are halted during spring thaw., Migratory birds are coming back into our area. Keith Kowall is monitoring nests to see if they become homes for their families.
Some of the monitors working from afar are frustrated because they'd rather be working on the line. Many First Nations, including Treaty 1, are implementing curfews and locking down access roads to First Nations to protect their Elders. So some monitors prefer to stay home rather than risk being locked out of their home nation.
